Process
All the materials that TRENCADIS INNOVACIÓN uses to manufacture its trencadis-type mosaics are strictly controlled to ensure the final quality of our products. The manufacturing process is the same for the different types of ceramic materials and natural stones, it consists of the following stages.
RECTIFICATION
The rectification is the first process for the manufacture of the trencadís. The purpose of this process is to eliminate possible impurities and final finishing touches on the edges of the tile to make the entire surface even before starting with the break.
BREAK
The break is done piece by piece, hitting the appropriate areas to obtain irregularly shaped tiles and making sure, with each hit, not to chip the glazed surface of the tile.
CLASSIFICATION
Classification is the process where once the material to be worked has been broken, the tesseraes are separated and categorized according to their size.
MESHED
The meshing is the part of the manufacturing process in which craftsmanship and handwork stand out the most.
